If I could travel back in time.........

Everyone would want to go back in time and change things. Even though we know it's utterly impossible, we still have that flicker of hope that never dies. It comes back to life when you watch time travel related movies or you watch Doremon regularly (maybe that's just me). Everytime I watch something like that my imagination goes into all bizzare things from saving India while independence struggle to telling myself not to buy that overpriced dress that I wouldn't like after getting it home. So this time I let my imagination run wild, when I was watching a program on YouTube where they asked 'what would be the one thing or situation that you would like to change if you could go back in time.' I'll tell what I would do.
If I had that chance I would go three years back in time, to my first year in college, to that day, specially that one minute, when I had made the dumbest mistake in my life.
I had a huge crush on this guy for the past one or two year, from when I had seen him from the first time in school. We fortunately made it to the same college, in fact same class. He would have atleast been my friend (if not boyfriend) now, had I done the right thing. We had a class free (the teacher was sick or something) and like I said in the previous post I read a lot, half of the class was out in the corridor chattering away and I was leaning against a shady pillar reading 'Only time will tell ' by Jeffery Archer, it was the first book from the Clifton Chronicles series and I was nearing last the few pages, I just wanted to finish it in that one hour so that I can start with the second book in the series as soon as I reach home. Now this guy on whom I had a crush and a few of his friends moved near the pillar to get some shade from the glaring sun and this guy happened to see me reading.
He came to talk to me and asked me,
'hey what? You are reading even now, so seriously?' And I don't know what was wrong with me at time because all I did was to look up from my book and reply saying, 'it's a novel' and I'd shrugged.
After that he looked at me for a second, nodded and went back to his friends.
He must have thought I was retarded or something, what kind of a response was that. It's still embarrassing to myself.
I could have milked that moment, I could have told him something like 'it's a novel by my favourite author, and it's really interesting." (I think it still sounds lame) after that maybe I could have asked him if he read, who was his favourite author so on.
After that day he didn't give a damn about me, even in the second year when on some event, everyone were taking pictures as it was last year in that college, I had forced him to get a picture with me (don't ask me how) he just smiled, stood next to me and as soon the picture was taken, he was off. I know it's embarrassing.

So if I had a chance to go back in time, I would like change what happened on that fateful day. That's it from me now, comment if anyone of you would like a chance to travel back in time.
